Are cervical cysts serious?

Cervical cyst is not a particularly serious disease, it is a pathological manifestation of chronic cervicitis, mostly benign, and only in rare cases may become malignant. The principle of cervical cyst formation is similar to that of “pimples” on the face, caused by the failure to discharge secretions from the cervical glands, which is a relatively common disease among women of childbearing age. The disease is divided into acute and chronic, if the cyst is acute there may be endometritis or acute vaginitis, but the majority of patients are chronic, the main manifestation is increased leucorrhea, sticky state, occasionally leucorrhea with blood inside the situation. Because cervical cysts generally have insignificant symptoms and develop slowly, most patients do not require special treatment. A small number of patients with larger cysts and discomfort such as increased leucorrhea require prompt treatment. Most patients with cervical cysts do not need treatment. There are many treatment methods for cervical cysts, such as laser and microwave, and the specific treatment method depends on the patient’s physical condition and the severity of the disease. Patients do not need to worry too much, just go to the obstetrics and gynecology department of the hospital early for consultation.
