What to do about ocular fundus mesoplasmosis

Fundus mesoplasmosis is central plasmacytoid chorioretinopathy, previously thought to be a self-limiting disease, but now more and more patients present with chronic recurrent episodes in clinical practice. The treatment options are either oral Myzrin tablets, macular laser photocoagulation, photodynamic therapy, or vitreous cavity injections of anti-neoplastic endothelial growth factor drugs such as razumab and abciximab. The effect of injected drugs varies from person to person, and even if the treatment is effective, it cannot prevent the recurrence of edema. Therefore, treatment should take into account the extent and location of the lesion and the condition of the contralateral eye, as well as the need for vision in life and work.
