A simple cleft palate can usually be detected by ultrasound or other tests. However, if the baby is in the fetal stage or has a hidden cleft palate, it may not be detected.
1. Cleft palate is a congenital developmental abnormality. If the degree of cleft palate is relatively serious or combined with the occurrence of cleft lip, it can be detected by 3D or 4D ultrasound. However, if the baby is in the fetal stage of development, or if the cleft palate is hidden, it is difficult to detect.
2. Cleft palate will affect the pronunciation of the child, and also cause swallowing and other functional disorders, and even cause adverse effects on the physical and mental health of the child.
Warm reminder: If your baby has a cleft palate, it is recommended that you choose the right time for surgical treatment under the guidance of your doctor.
