The peak period of fracture swelling is 1-2 weeks after the injury, but the time of swelling of specific fractures should be told by site. This part of the skin is shallow, such as the face of the hand and foot, the metacarpal and phalanges of the hand, and the tarsal and metatarsal bones of the foot after the fracture, because the bones are just under the skin, the location is shallow, the swelling occurs quickly, there will be obvious swelling, petechiae, bruising and pain half an hour after the fracture. If the fracture occurs in areas with thicker muscles, such as the femoral stem, tibia, fibula, upper forearm and deltoid area, the swelling will start later. The swelling will reach its peak 1 week after the fracture, and gradually the swelling will subside slowly, about 2-3 weeks.
