Must read for patients with adenomyosis

What is adenomyosis? Adenomyosis is a benign lesion caused by ectopic endometrium into the myometrium. Patients may present with gradually increasing dysmenorrhea, increased menstrual flow, irregular vaginal bleeding, and infertility. Usually the uterus is uniformly enlarged and the diagnosis can be made clearly in combination with ultrasound examination. How to treat adenomyosis? It needs to be treated specifically in the context of the patient’s age, the presence or absence of fertility requirements, the presence or absence of clinical symptoms, and the size of the uterus. It includes conservative drug treatment, conservative surgical treatment, and radical treatment. 1.Asymptomatic patients can be left untreated and reviewed regularly. 2.Drug conservative treatment: Patients who require preservation of reproductive function can choose drug treatment. Including ①GnRHa: 1 injection every 28 days, good efficacy, treatment for 3-6 months. ②Pregnant trienone and other oral medications. ③Mannonite ring. 3.Conservative surgical treatment: Requirement to preserve the uterus without fertility requirements. If abnormal uterine bleeding is the main symptom and drug treatment is ineffective or drug treatment cannot be tolerated, hysteroscopic endometrial resection is feasible. 4.Radical surgical treatment: total hysterectomy is stronger due to the individual difference of each patient.
