The normal value of pediatric liver ultrasound size is normal for a 2-3 year old pediatric liver ultrasound of no more than 3 cm below the rib cage. However, provided that the liver is not painful to palpation, is soft to palpation, and liver function is normal, the size of the ultrasound is only a determination of the range and does not indicate the presence or absence of disease. The presence or absence of liver disease should be combined with liver function tests, the pediatrician’s clinical symptoms, whether there is loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, pain in the liver area, etc., and whether there is liver hardening or tenderness on palpation. If these are present, the ultrasound is abnormal even if it is not large.
