How to regulate low progesterone

Low progesterone may be abnormal uterine bleeding, habitual abortion and preeclampsia, ectopic pregnancy, etc. It can be treated with medication and some patients need surgery.
1. Abnormal uterine bleeding: low progesterone, the endometrium can not be converted from proliferative endometrium to secretory phase, this situation can be supplemented with progesterone to promote endometrial changes and regulate the menstrual cycle, such as dextroprogesterone, progesterone and so on.
2. Habitual miscarriage or preeclampsia: the lack of progesterone in the body will affect the development of the embryo, resulting in habitual miscarriage or preeclampsia, which also needs to be supplemented with progesterone, usually intramuscular injections of progesterone, or oral treatment with drugs such as dydrogesterone, progesterone and so on.
3. Ectopic pregnancy: this is an abnormal pregnancy, low progesterone does not need to be regulated, the pregnancy should be terminated as soon as possible, usually through surgical treatment, such as salpingo-oophorectomy, tubal window embryo extraction surgery. After the ectopic pregnancy disappears, progesterone will usually gradually return to the normal range.
Low progesterone may also be caused by other reasons, such as mental overstress, autoimmune diseases, nutritional imbalance, etc., the cause should be clarified to standardize the treatment, and if you need to use medication, you should strictly comply with the doctor’s instructions.
