Female genital tumors may have various clinical manifestations depending on their benign and malignant nature and growth sites, but they also have some common features. If any one of these symptoms is found, you should seek medical treatment in time to avoid delaying the disease. Abnormal vaginal bleeding Tumors of uterus and some ovarian tumors may cause abnormal vaginal bleeding, which may be manifested as excessive menstruation, cycle disorder or irregular bleeding. The bleeding caused by cervical cancer and uterine body cancer is mostly irregular, while the bleeding caused by benign uterine fibroids is both regular and irregular, usually an increase in menstrual volume. If vaginal bleeding occurs after menopause (commonly known as inverted flowering), especially if the amount is the same as that of menstruation, you need to be alert to malignant tumor and should seek medical attention immediately. 2. Abnormal vaginal discharge The discharge caused by tumor necrosis, rupture and infection is completely different from normal leucorrhea. The former is mostly watery, bloody or rice-like leucorrhea and often has an abnormal foul smell. The common tumors with such symptoms are cervical cancer, uterine body cancer, fallopian tube cancer and certain submucosal fibroids. 3.Lumps can grow in any part of the reproductive organs. For vulvar masses, patients can feel or see them by themselves; physicians can find tumors in the vagina and cervix through speculum examination; tumors in the uterus or ovaries can be detected through pelvic examination, and larger tumors may be found by patients in bathing or other activities. If the lump is on one side of the lower abdomen, active and soft, it is more likely to be an ovarian cyst. If the lump is in the middle, less active and harder in texture, it may be a fibroid. Therefore, regular gynecological examination is very meaningful for early detection of tumors. 4. Pain In fact, pain is not a common symptom of gynecological tumor, some uterine fibroids can have menstrual abdominal pain. If ovarian tumor is twisted or ruptured, severe pain will occur. Malignant tumors of uterus or ovary are mostly painless in early stage. If continuous back pain and abdominal pain occur, it is often the result of nerve compression, indicating that the tumor has reached advanced stage. The above four manifestations are just a general overview, it does not mean that if you have these phenomena, you must have tumor. Because some menstrual diseases caused by female reproductive endocrine dysfunction can also show vaginal bleeding. As for lower abdominal pain, tumor is only one of the causes, but it is more commonly seen in various acute and chronic pelvic inflammatory diseases. The purpose of listing the above manifestations is just to provide some basic knowledge to urge patients to seek medical treatment early, so as to achieve the purpose of early diagnosis and timely treatment.
