What causes violent coughing in children

Cough variant asthma: mostly occurs after contact with allergens, usually with cough as the only symptom, manifested as chronic persistent dry cough, often exacerbated after strenuous exercise, night or early morning inhalation of cold air. 3. Airway foreign body: can appear in food aspiration, gastroesophageal reflux disease, exogenous foreign body mistakenly inhaled into the airway, causing paroxysmal irritating cough, severe cases can lead to respiratory distress phenomenon. Children with severe cough may also be related to other causes, should promptly go to the hospital, under the guidance of the doctor for treatment.
