Clinically, according to the specific causes of the bump on the back of the neck, different methods can be adopted to eliminate it. If the soft tissue injury of the posterior neck caused by local trauma is accompanied by the formation of hematoma causing obvious protrusion, local ice can be applied to promote capillary constriction to avoid progressive increase of hematoma, external blood-stasis ointment, oral bruising and injury pills and other drugs, the smaller hematoma can be absorbed and subside after 3-5 days. If the volume of the hematoma increases progressively and is accompanied by obvious local swelling and pain, the patient needs to perform surgery to remove the skin and subcutaneous tissue, remove the hematoma and drain the trauma thoroughly, so that the bump on the back of the neck can be eliminated as soon as possible. If there are benign lesions such as lipomas, epidermoid cysts and neurofibromas in the back of the neck, and if the bulge is large in size and seriously affects the aesthetics or the activities of the neck, the patient can consider surgical excision, and most patients can eliminate the bulge in the back of the neck after surgery.
