Will drinking astragalus raise your blood pressure?

There is no authoritative information that drinking astragalus will increase blood pressure.
Astragalus has the effects of tonifying qi and elevating yang, consolidating the surface, supporting toxins and generating muscles (discharging toxins to promote muscle growth and wound healing), and inducing diuresis to reduce swelling. It can treat peripheral weakness and shortness of breath caused by deficiency of spleen and lung qi, as well as spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the day, aggravated by the slightest movement of sweating) or prolonged non-recovery caused by deficiency of qi and blood caused by deficiency of qi, and also treat edema caused by deficiency of qi.
Astragalus should not be used where there is an abundance of solid evil on the surface, stagnation of food accumulation (food that is poorly digested and stagnates in the stomach), hyperactivity of yin and yang, the first appearance of sores, or where heat and toxins are still prevalent after ulceration.
If low blood pressure is accompanied by weakness and shortness of breath, drinking astragalus can relieve the symptoms of insufficient qi and blood. If high blood pressure is accompanied by red tongue, strong pulse and irritability, drinking astragalus may also aggravate the discomfort.
Drinking astragalus needs to be used after identification by a Chinese medicine practitioner to avoid causing adverse reactions.
