Dandelion is not able to treat H. pylori.
Dandelion is a commonly used herb for clearing heat and removing toxins, which does not have the function of eradicating H. pylori. H. pylori is a contagious bacterium, and infection with this bacterium can easily lead to a series of digestive disorders such as gastritis, gastric ulcer, and even stomach cancer.
Once diagnosed with H. pylori infection, H. pylori eradication treatment should be carried out. Currently, the “quadruple therapy”, i.e. one proton pump inhibitor, one bismuth agent and two antibiotics, is used to eradicate H. pylori. Commonly used drugs such as omeprazole, bismuth potassium citrate, amoxicillin, clarithromycin and so on.
There is no evidence that dandelion can treat H. pylori. Patients with H. pylori infection should seek medical attention as early as possible and use the appropriate treatment plan under the guidance of a doctor.
