P53 protein is the product of P53 gene. P53 protein is able to induce apoptosis in tumor cells. Normally, many signals about cell health are sent to p53 protein, and if it is a normal health signal, normal cell division is started. If this cell is damaged and cannot be repaired, the p53 protein will be involved in initiating the apoptotic process, causing this cell to die in apoptosis to maintain the normal health state of the organism.
