Is the heart in the same place as the nipple?

The location of the heart is different from the nipple. Normally, the human heart is located in a position directly to the lower left of the center of the chest cavity, between the right and left lobes of the lungs, with the front of the heart flat against the cartilages of the 2nd to 6th ribs and the back flat against the 5th to 8th thoracic vertebrae. However, there are also a small number of people whose heart is located in the lower right of the center of the chest cavity, which is a mirror image of the normal heart. For middle-aged women, the nipple is located at the level of the sixth intercostal space, 1-2 centimeters outside the midclavicular line. The breasts are located on the surface of the pectoralis major muscle, between the second and sixth ribs, and the cylinder protruding from the center of the breast is the location of the nipple, so the heart is not in the same position as the nipple. However, discomfort in the heart may manifest as pain in the breast area and needs to be carefully identified. The heart and nipple are both important parts of the human body, if the patient has heart or nipple discomfort symptoms, should promptly consult a doctor to identify the cause, under the guidance of the doctor for appropriate treatment.
