Do you need to rub iodophor every day on a cut?

Wounds formed by skin abrasions, when covered by dressings, generally do not require daily iodophor, depending on the condition of the wound. Simple skin abrasions are clean wounds and generally do not require removal of sutures; cleaning, disinfecting, and dressing the wound is sufficient. For the dressing change of skin abrasion wounds, in the case of dry dressings, no contamination, no blood or ooze, generally 2~3 days, the use of iodophor to the wound can be rubbed. For the presence of dressing contamination, soaking, and wound oozing blood or fluid, the wound needs to be changed in a timely manner, using iodine povidone to wipe the wound and cover it with a sterile dressing, and then according to the wound condition, a reasonable choice of dressing change cycle. For wounds that may be infected or pus-filled, the frequency of dressing changes needs to be increased appropriately, and iodophor can be used once or several times a day if necessary. For skin abrasions, it is recommended to seek medical attention and change the dressing of the wound under the guidance of a professional doctor.
