Optimal age for spinal cord embolization surgery

Spinal cord embolism is also known as spinal cord embolism syndrome. There is no such thing as the optimal age for surgery for spinal cord embolism syndrome, but symptomatic spinal cord embolism syndrome should be treated by surgery as soon as the diagnosis is confirmed and the indications for surgery are met.
The spinal cord is stretched by various congenital or acquired causes, resulting in a series of symptoms including lower limb movement disorders, urinary and fecal dysfunction, and so on, which is called spinal cord embolism syndrome. Most doctors believe that early diagnosis of this disease and early surgical treatment are generally effective.
Except for patients with severe hydrocephalus, serious complications or contraindications to surgery, the disease should be treated with surgery as soon as it is diagnosed. In cases of late diagnosis, surgical treatment can also relieve pain and halt the progression of lower limb motor dysfunction and dysuria.
Patients with spinal embolism syndrome are advised to seek prompt medical attention and active treatment under the guidance of a physician to avoid delays.
