In the advanced stage of fundus oralis cancer, dysphagia and speech disorder will occur, and it will also cause complications such as bleeding, infection and cancerous pain. 1. Dysphagia: fundal carcinoma refers to the carcinoma originated from the mucosa of the floor of mouth, which is a kind of oral cancer. Difficulty in swallowing will appear in the late stage, which manifests as choking and coughing when eating, increased saliva, inability to eat and wasting in the late stage of fundal cancer. 2. Speech disorder: there will be skin breakdown between the floor of mouth, i.e. tongue and mandible, difficulty in tongue movement, decreased flexibility of tongue consciously, and found to be biased to one side after stretching out the tongue. In the late stage, the patient’s speech is slurred and there is a phenomenon of “big tongue”. 3. Complications: advanced tumor can invade the tongue, jawbone, sublingual gland and other adjacent tissues, and metastasis to lymph nodes and lungs and other distant organs, which will lead to bleeding, infection, cancer pain and other complications. Lymph node metastasis may also appear as unexplained lumps in the neck or tumors in other parts of the body, and the specific symptoms are related to the involved organs. It is suggested that patients with advanced stage of encephalocarcinoma should pay attention to balanced diet, do not consume too hot food, avoid stimulating the oral cavity, and maintain a positive and good mindset to face the disease while undergoing active treatment.
