Staging of the labor process

The whole process of labor is called total labor, and there are 3 stages of total labor, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd stages of labor. The first stage of labor is from the beginning of regular contractions to the opening of the uterus, which takes a long time (10 hours) for primiparous women and a short time (a few hours) for menstrual women. The second stage of labor is from the opening of the uterus to the delivery of the baby, which takes 1 hour for primigravida and 30 minutes for menstrua. The third stage of labor is from delivery of the fetus to delivery of the placenta, which takes 10-15 minutes and does not exceed 30 minutes. The time frame of labor for primiparous and perinatal mothers is quite different, so it should be treated differently in the process of labor observation to prevent stalled labor, difficult labor and emergency labor. If the labor is too long, the rate of postpartum bleeding and intrauterine distress increases significantly, and emergency labor can cause birth canal laceration and fetal fall to the ground.
