Can lupus erythematosus tests detect AIDS?

Laboratory tests for lupus erythematosus and AIDS are not the same, so the tests for lupus erythematosus cannot detect AIDS. Laboratory tests for AIDS include laboratory tests for HIV, i.e. virus isolation and culture of HIV virus, initial screening tests including enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, gelatin particle agglutination test, etc., and confirmatory tests including protein blotting test, immunoprecipitation test, etc. Laboratory tests for immunodeficiency, which may show obvious increase of β2-microglobulin and decrease in peripheral lymphocytes, etc. If there are high risk factors for HIV infection, you should go to a regular hospital immediately and undergo laboratory tests for HIV to make a clear diagnosis.
