Scutellaria efficacy and effects and contraindications

Scutellaria baicalensis, also known as Yuan Scutellaria, Baicalin, etc., is bitter and cold in nature and belongs to the lung, gall bladder and large intestine meridians. The contraindication of Scutellaria baicalensis is that this medicine is cold in nature and injures the spleen and stomach, so it is contraindicated in patients with a cold spleen and stomach or in patients with frequent diarrhea.
