What’s wrong with your neck?

Neck swelling is considered to be related to muscle strain, fasciitis, cervical spondylosis, thyroid disease and other causes.
1. Muscle strain: If the neck is kept in a certain position for a long time, it will cause neck muscle strain and aseptic inflammation, which will result in neck soreness, pain and other symptoms.
2. Fasciitis: it is a sterile inflammation of the neck fascia, which is related to strain, cold and damp stimulation, and will cause swelling, pain and stiffness.

Cervical spondylosis: cervical spondylosis is mainly caused by degenerative cervical spine lesions, if the patient has herniated discs, osteophytes and other changes, which cause pressure on the surrounding tissues, there will be swelling, pain and stiffness in the neck, and in severe cases, there will also be numbness of the limbs, weakness and other symptoms.
4. Thyroid disease: Thyroid tumors and thyroiditis can cause swelling of the neck due to hyperplasia and hypertrophy of the thyroid gland itself.
