Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 1, which means a low-grade lesion of the cervical epithelium, is often caused by persistent infection with high-risk HPV types. This lesion may have the opportunity to transform to normal or, of course, to higher grade lesions. Prompt treatment is recommended, mainly by laser, freezing or microwave to carbonize or necrotize the lesions and then grow new normal tissue. It is important to give regular review after the surgery.
