Aftermath of Femtosecond Surgery

The full name of femtosecond surgery is Femtosecond Laser Surgery, which is a common tool used in ophthalmology to correct myopia. The main sequelae that may occur after femtosecond surgery are dry eye, myopic regression, secondary glaucoma, corneal opacity formation, etc. 1. Dry eye syndrome: it is usually more obvious within 3 months after the operation, and may be cured with the prolongation of time. 2. Myopia regression: Myopia regression occurs when vision is restored after surgery but myopia returns after a period of time. The higher the degree of myopia before surgery, the higher the risk of regression after surgery. 3. Secondary glaucoma: usually caused by the use of hormone eye drops after surgery, early detection and early discontinuation of medication, it is possible to recover on its own. 4. Corneal opacity: this complication is related to the formation of scar tissue at the surgical site. Femtosecond surgery should be carried out in regular hospitals, standardized treatment.
