Bleeding clots like jelly in the stool indicate that the lesion is located in the colon, and ulcerative colitis, intestinal cancer, intestinal polyps and other diseases may be present.
1. Ulcerative colitis: after the onset of the disease, the patient’s common clinical symptoms are bloody diarrhea, intestinal wall mucous membrane bleeding mixed with mucus, there may be bleeding stools like jelly-like symptoms. At the same time, patients are often accompanied by dyspepsia, malnutrition, emaciation and other symptoms.
2. Colorectal cancer: at the initial stage, the clinical symptoms are not too obvious, with the progress of the disease, it is easy to happen that the mucous membrane on the surface of the cancer ruptures and bleeds, and mucus stools may appear, and bleeding and mucus stools are mixed together, which may be manifested as the change of stool bleeding lumps like jellies.
3. Intestinal polyp: it is mostly seen in patients with relatively large lesions, in the process of intestinal peristalsis and the damage stimulation of feces on intestinal polyp, resulting in bleeding. In the process of defecation, there may be bleeding stools like jelly-like symptoms. It may be accompanied by abdominal pain and other discomfort.
Other diseases such as dysentery and irritable bowel syndrome may also cause jelly-like stools.
