Syrup of Chuanbei Pei Pa Koa, consists of Chuanbei mother of pearl, Platycodon grandiflorus, Pei Pa Koa leaf and Menthol. It is used for the treatment of cough caused by wind evil offending the lungs, upward reversal of lung qi or phlegm-heat depression of the lungs, with cough, sputum, dry throat, sore throat, fever, general malaise, or accompanied by malignant cold (fear of cold) and fever. It should be noted that with this drug, erythema multiforme-like drug rash may occur. It is not suitable to be used with aconite herbs; avoid smoking, alcohol and spicy, cold and oily food; it is not suitable to take tonic Chinese medicine at the same time during the period of taking the medicine.
