Hyperventilation, also known as hyperventilation syndrome, is a psychological disorder that belongs to the category of physical and mental disorders. It is mostly due to psychological triggers such as trauma, overexertion, excessive psychological stress, mental tension, anxiety, etc., resulting in a series of clinical manifestations such as deep and fast breathing, dyspnea, chest tightness, chest pain, numbness in the extremities, abnormal sensation, and rapid heartbeat. There is no clear organic cause of hyperventilation, and mostly functional abnormalities lead to corresponding clinical symptoms. Failure to timely and effectively relieve hyperventilation is still quite serious, often due to hyperventilation, excessive exhalation of carbon dioxides and respiratory alkalosis, and in severe cases, neurological symptoms such as dizziness, blurred vision, fainting, twitching of limbs due to hypoxia, and also prone to accidents. Also due to breath-holding and dyspnea there is often a sense of near death, and the patient’s quality of life is significantly reduced. Therefore, hyperventilation should relieve their clinical symptoms as soon as possible, control their episodes, and avoid the above-mentioned adverse effects, etc.
