How long does it usually take to recover from running knee pain on the inside of the knee?

Running knee pain on the inner side of the knee is common in goosefoot, medial meniscus injury and medial collateral ligament surgery and other diseases, due to the severity and treatment of different methods as well as individual differences, there is no specific recovery time.
1. Goosefoot: It mainly manifests as pain in the medial side of the knee joint, which is heavier in the morning and when getting up from sedentary position. The pain is especially severe when the calf is turned outward and rotated outward. Generally, conservative treatment is mostly adopted, such as rest, oral non-steroidal analgesic drugs such as celecoxib, local closure and other treatments.
Depending on the severity of the condition and the type of treatment, as well as the physical condition and lifestyle, the recovery time usually ranges from 1 week to 6 months or even longer.
2. Medial meniscus injury: mainly manifested as different degrees of pain and swelling accompanied by squatting limitation, knee joint interlocking, popping, playing soft legs and other symptoms.
Conservative treatment requires rest, braking, analgesic medication and fluid extraction from the joint cavity. In severe cases, minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery should be performed in a timely manner. Depending on the severity of the disease and the type of treatment, as well as the physical condition and lifestyle, the recovery time is usually 3~6 months or even longer.
3. Injury to the medial collateral ligament: If there is an injury to the medial collateral ligament, it can also lead to pain on the inside of the knee when running. A relatively minor surgery usually takes 4-6 weeks to recover after conservative treatment and medication. If the ligament is torn and requires surgical repair, it may take 2~3 months to recover.
There are many other causes of running knee pain on the inside of the knee, it is recommended to consult a doctor for a clear diagnosis in time to avoid delaying the condition.
