Whether postoperative lymphocysts will heal on their own is analyzed according to the patient’s own physical condition, the size of the cyst, and whether or not an infection has occurred.
Postoperative lymphocysts are sequelae of surgery. If the patient’s physical condition is good, the size of the lymphocyst is small, and there is no local infection, most of the patients will be able to absorb the lymphocyst by themselves within 2~3 months after the surgery. If the size of the lymphocyst is large, or the patient’s condition is poor, or infection occurs, it is generally difficult to heal by itself, and timely medical treatment is needed.
If lymphocysts appear after surgery, patients should avoid spicy and stimulating foods, such as chili peppers, ginger, garlic and other foods, and maintain good work and rest habits, so as not to affect the recovery of the disease. If the lymphocyst persists, patients should consult a doctor for proper treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
