Surgery for pituitary tumor is more commonly used in clinical practice nowadays, so the technology should be relatively mature. Of course, it is also related to the level of different medical institutions. The higher the level of medical institutions, the more experienced they are in related surgeries, and the lower the postoperative complications and mortality rate will be. Nowadays, in the treatment of pituitary tumors, a large part of the surgical methods used will use the transsphenoidal surgical route, which is less damaging, does not need to go through craniotomy, and the postoperative complications and mortality rate are relatively low. Some studies have also shown that the mortality rate after transsphenoidal surgery is less than 1%, and the probability of postoperative complications, such as transient uremic syndrome and permanent inappropriate secretion of antidiuretic hormone, is very low. Therefore, at present, pituitary tumor surgery is still relatively mature treatment means.
