Can vestibular cysts heal on their own?

Vestibular cysts do not usually heal on their own. It requires either medication or surgery, depending on the patient’s condition.
The cause of vestibular cysts is usually a localized infection, which can block the opening of the Bartholin’s gland ducts, leading to retention of the gland, which gradually grows in size to form a Bartholin’s gland cyst or what is known as a vestibular cyst.
In patients with more severe infections, there will be localized redness, swelling, heat and pain. Medication should be given first to fight the infection with antibiotics. If the patient’s anti-infection treatment is effective, the cyst will gradually shrink or even subside, if the anti-infection treatment is ineffective, surgery is needed.
In normal times, we should pay attention to the underwear, towels, bed linen often with boiling water or in the sun sterilization. Keep the vulva clean and change underwear frequently.
