What to do if your ligament breaks and bleeds

If the wound is small, less than 1cm, and the depth of breakage is superficial, less than 5mm, it does not need to be sutured, it is recommended that after local disinfection, use an elastic bandage to gently apply pressure and bandage, generally the bleeding can stop on its own, and the wound can heal on its own. If the wound is more than 1 cm and the depth is greater than 5 mm with active bleeding, it is recommended to give debridement and suture treatment. After local disinfection, the internal wound can be sutured to stop the bleeding and reduce the wound tension. The external skin is then sutured together to stop the bleeding and restore the wound. After suturing, regular dressing changes are required, as well as oral antimicrobials if necessary, to prevent possible local infection.
