Is a white spot in the throat cancer of the larynx?

Throat leukoplakia is not equivalent to laryngeal cancer, it is keratinized hyperplastic epithelial lesion of laryngeal mucosa. White flaky elevation can be seen on the surface of mucosa, which is limited in scope and should not be wiped away. The main pathological changes are squamous epithelium with different degrees of keratinization and thickening, which can be hyperkeratinization or incomplete keratinization, with inflammatory reaction in the surrounding mucosa. The submucosal layer is normal, and can occur in any part of the mucosa, mostly in the vocal cords and the preauricular region, in which incomplete keratinization is laryngeal leukoplakia, laryngeal keratinization and laryngeal leukoplakia can be accompanied by epithelial simple hyperplasia as well as all levels of heterogeneous proliferation, and laryngeal leukoplakia accompanied by heterogeneous proliferation is often considered to be a pre-cancerous laryngeal lesion.
