Symptoms of blood in the urine induced by holding urine for too long may be present in two ways.
One, a urinary tract infection.
The second, damage to the bladder mucosa.
If the symptom is caused by a urinary tract infection, the presence of a bacterial infection is presumed to be more likely. Such patients have the potential to heal spontaneously, but there is also a risk of exacerbation and medication is recommended. If the symptom is caused by damage to the bladder mucosa, it can usually heal spontaneously.
