Panax ginseng is a traditional Chinese medicine, the dried root and rhizome of Panax ginseng (Panax quinquefolii) of the family Wujiaceae. It has the efficacy of dispersing blood stasis, stopping bleeding, subduing swelling and relieving pain (eliminating swelling and pain), and is used in the treatment of vomiting of blood, blood stasis, swelling and pain, blood in the stool, and injuries caused by falls. Its adverse reactions and contraindications are currently unknown. Pregnant women are advised to use with caution. It can be decocted in soup, powdered or incorporated into pills or powder.
Leech is the dried whole body of leech, leech or willow leaf leech of family Leechidae, which can break blood and pass through menstruation (break blood stasis and smooth the menstruation), expel blood stasis and eliminate symptoms (get rid of blood stasis and lumps in the body), and is mainly used for treating obstruction in the abdomen and injuries caused by falls. Its adverse effects and contraindications are not clear. It is contraindicated in pregnant women and those with excessive menstruation. For internal use, it can be decocted into soup or incorporated into pills or powder, and should be taken in moderation.
If there is a need for medication, it should be used under the guidance of a Chinese medicine practitioner, and should not be used blindly on its own to avoid adverse effects.
