Downstairs knee pain is partly just a transient pain and correlates with physiologic factors. Excluding physiologic factors, disease factors mainly include joint degeneration, meniscus injury, inflammatory diseases, trauma and so on.
Normal people will have the corresponding symptoms after strenuous exercise, or in the process of going downstairs in poor posture, will also cause pain; exclude the influence of physiological factors, a variety of diseases can cause corresponding changes, the main causes are as follows:

3. Inflammatory diseases: may be seen in some rheumatism, gout or tuberculosis caused by inflammatory arthritis, the same in the stairs, will also occur when the knee acute pain.
4. Trauma: trauma can easily lead to edema and oozing of the surrounding soft tissues, which can affect the activities and cause pain during going up and down the stairs.
