What is the source of the formula for rhubarb and peony soup?

Rhubarb and Peony Tang is from “The Essentials of the Golden Chamber”. Rhubarb and Mudan Soup has the effect of diarrhea heat, breaking stasis, dispersing knots and eliminating swelling. In this formula, rhubarb is bitter and cold, diarrhea heat and expelling stasis; danpi clears heat and cools the blood (relieving heat by clearing heat), activates the blood and disperses stasis (promoting the blood circulation and eliminating stasis in the body); manganese nitrate diarrheal heat and leads to stagnation and softens the firmament and disperses knots (softens and disperses the firmament and knots); peach kernel activates the blood, breaks the stasis; and dongguanren clears the intestines and induces dampness and eliminates pus and sores in carbuncles. Rhubarb and Mudan Tang is used in the treatment of intestinal carbuncle (carbuncle occurring in the intestinal organs, manifested by fever, pain in the right abdomen and palpable lumps) at the beginning of the disease, with damp-heat stagnation (stagnation of damp-heat evil qi in the body), symptomatic symptoms include pain in the right lesser abdomen (lower abdomen) that refuses to be pressed, and the pain is like drenching, or even localized swollen plumpness, or flexion of the right foot that does not extend, or pain that is severe when it is stretched out, and self-adjustment of urination. This formula should be used with caution or contraindicated in all cases of ulceration of intestinal carbuncle, as well as in the elderly, pregnant women, postpartum, or those with too weak a constitution.
