What position should be used to move an unconscious casualty

The unconscious casualty should be carried in the side prone position, head elevated position, tilting the head and pulling the jaw position and at the same time keep the airway open.
1. Side prone position: the unconscious casualty usually in the process of transportation will be due to the external bumps caused by the stomach inside the gastric reflux of gastric contents, reflux after the contents will be mistakenly into the respiratory tract, causing the casualty’s inversion of inhalation, which will cause asphyxiation in serious cases. At this time, we should let the patient’s body to one side, face down, keep the side prone position, so as not to cause the contents of reflux asphyxiation and endanger the life of the injured.
2. Head up posture: the casualty into a deep coma will also appear when the tongue falls back to cause asphyxiation, and the limitations of the injury can not take the side prone position, this time the need to raise the patient’s head up elevated, face to the sky posture for the handling, which can ensure the safety of the casualty.
3. Tilt the head and pull the jaw posture: a part of the casualty in the coma will often have difficulty breathing, bleeding from the mouth and nose, this time the application of both hands upward pulling the casualty on both sides of the jaw angle, so that the jaw forward, to keep the jaw angle perpendicular to the ground. At the same time, the head is tilted back, and the lower lip is pushed down with the thumb to open the mouth. This will keep the breathing open, and will not allow the blood in the mouth and nose to flow back into the respiratory tract to block the ventilation situation, thus protecting the life of the casualty.
It is recommended that when carrying an unconscious casualty, the correct carrying position should be adopted to avoid serious consequences.
