Taking Chinese medicine can improve the symptoms of post-cold variant asthma, but it cannot completely cure asthma. Post-cold variant asthma belongs to the category of asthma and wheezing in Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine practitioners often use the methods of dispersing wind and cold (dispersing wind and cold) and regulating the liver and gallbladder (regulating liver and gallbladder qi transportation so that it flows smoothly) to treat it. Xiao Chaihu Tang is often used with mint, winterflower and aster to relieve Shaoyang (treating external heat illnesses in which the evil is between half-expression and half-limit), and to stop coughing and clear the throat. However, Xiao Chai Hu Tang should be taken with caution for those with Yin deficiency and those with hyperactivity of Liver-Yang (excessive Liver-Yang, causing dizziness, dizziness, headache, etc.). In addition, Chai Hu can rob the Liver-Yin (damaging the Liver-Yin fluid), and therefore should not be taken for a long period of time. There is no clear evidence that Chinese medicine can cure post-cold variant asthma. Post-cold variant asthma is usually treated with oral montelukast sodium tablets, nebulization, and other Western treatments, and Chinese medicine is not the preferred treatment. If you need Chinese medicine treatment, it is recommended to go to a regular medical institution and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment, do not self-medication.
