What’s wrong with a little edema four days after circumcision?

Oedema occurs four days after circumcision, mainly because of the obstruction of local blood microcirculation, a process that causes localized edema. After circumcision, due to the rich blood circulation at the circumcision tie, the local blood microcirculation is blocked as the vascular lymphatic vessels are cut off after the operation. Therefore, the new blood circulation has not been formed again, and local edema will occur in this process. This is a normal phenomenon, and patients do not need to worry too much. Generally two to three weeks can be recovered, and some up to three months or more. Post-circumcision edema often use elastic bandage or warm towel local hot compresses and other ways to promote local blood circulation, to reduce the degree of edema and edema days. Patients with severe postoperative edema are advised to undergo appropriate treatment under the guidance of a physician.
