What’s wrong with increased discharge after menopause

Increased discharge after menopause may be caused by senile vaginitis, or may be caused by tumor diseases such as cervical cancer and endometrial cancer.
Postmenopausal women’s ovarian function declines, the body secretes less estrogen, women’s vaginal mucosa thins, anti-infection and anti-friction ability decreases, and if they don’t pay attention to hygiene and cleanliness, they are susceptible to infection by pathogenic bacteria and cause senile vaginitis, and the patients will have increased secretions, accompanied by abnormal color or odor of secretions.
Postmenopausal women suffer from tumor diseases, such as cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, etc. Due to the rapid growth of tumor cells, the local tissue necrosis and shedding lead to the increase of vaginal secretion, which is manifested as watery, bloody or purulent leukorrhea.
If the vaginal discharge increases after menopause, accompanied by other abnormal symptoms, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time to find out the cause and actively treat under the doctor’s guidance.
