Survival of rectal cancer lung metastasis for 10 years is mainly seen in the case of radical surgical resection of rectal cancer and then heterochronous lung metastasis, that is to say, lung metastasis occurs more than half a year after radical surgery for rectal cancer, and at the same time, lung metastasis is a single one, and radical surgical resection of single lung metastasis can be done, and then it is possible to achieve long-term survival in such a case. Overseas research shows that for rectal cancer heterochronous lung metastasis, the lung metastases can be transformed into resectable ones, so that long-term survival is possible, which has been reported in the literature. Therefore, for rectal cancer lung metastasis to exist for a long time, only by resecting the metastasis and primary foci at the same time is it possible to achieve long-term survival.
