How Long Can Liver Cancer Immunotherapy Extend Life

The most commonly used drug for liver cancer immunotherapy is nabumab, which has been shown in international trials to have an objective effectiveness rate of up to 20% for first-line treatment and 14%-19% for second-line treatment, with remission durations of up to 17 months. An analysis of Asian cohorts found that median survival could reach 28.6 months for first-line treatment and about 15 months for second-line treatment. In the Asian patient population, about one-third of Asian patients can survive for more than two years after second-line treatment with nabumab. The median survival of patients with stable disease is 17.5 months, while the median survival of patients with advanced liver cancer without treatment is only about 6-12 months. From the above data, it can be learned that liver cancer immunotherapy can prolong the survival of patients with advanced liver cancer by several months to about one year.
