What is the Godzilla Coma Rating Scale

The Godzilla Coma Scale, generally known as the Glass Coma Scale, is a questionnaire that assesses the degree of coma in a patient and consists of three main parts: eye opening response, verbal response, and motor response. 1. Eye-opening response: 4 points if the patient can open the eyes spontaneously, 3 points if the patient can open the eyes by calling out, 2 points if the patient can open the eyes by tingling, and 1 point if the patient can’t open the eyes. 2. Linguistic response: the patient can answer questions and has a normal orientation to task, time, place, etc. 5 points, can answer questions but has a wrong orientation 4 points, has a confused speech but the meaning of the words is recognizable 3 points, has a speech that is difficult to recognize 2 points, and can not make a sound 1 point. 3. Motor response: the patient can make movements according to the instruction scores 6 points, can locate the pain stimulus scores 5 points, can avoid the pain stimulus scores 4 points, has a flexion response to the pain stimulus scores 3 points, has a hyperextension response to the pain stimulus scores 2 points, and does not have a motor response to the stimulus scores 1 point. The total score is the sum of the scores of the above three sections, and the lower the score, the more severe the coma.
