Ligaments and muscles are very different and their functions are completely different. The function of ligaments is mainly weight-bearing and promoting limb contraction. Ligaments are very tough tissues that are at the ends of muscles and end at the bone surface, and the important role they play is to propagate to the bone surface after being pulled by a force, causing limb movement after muscle contraction. The components that make up the muscle are mainly muscle cells, whose role is to contract the muscle and thus produce movement of the limb. When the muscle cells produce contraction they can drive the ligaments, which in turn drive the bone and finally cause the limb to move.
