How long does it take to heal from hives

There is no exact time frame for how long it takes for hives to heal. The lesions usually subside within 2-24 hours, but they are prone to recurrence and can last from several days to several months. Therefore, it is necessary to make a comprehensive judgment based on the cause of hives, the type of hives and your own constitution, and not to make a generalization. Urticaria is a limited edema reaction due to the expansion and increased permeability of small blood vessels in the skin and mucous membranes, divided into acute and chronic, mostly in the spring. Its treatment is mainly to avoid triggering factors, such as caused by infection, need to actively anti-infection treatment, generally 3-5 days after the symptoms can gradually alleviate, most 1-2 weeks or so to recover; such as caused by allergic drugs or food, need to promptly stop the continued use and intake, give anti-allergy drug treatment, generally about 1-7 days to return to normal; if the parasitic infection, the time will be relatively longer. In addition, chronic urticaria usually lasts for more than 6 weeks and can last for months to years, or even longer, and is prone to recurrent attacks and is more stubborn and not easily treated. Therefore, it is recommended that patients with urticaria visit a dermatologist in a timely manner to try to find the cause and treat the cause so as not to delay the condition.
