How many days to be discharged from the hospital to remove the plate

  The plate removal procedure usually requires about 2 weeks of hospitalization.  If the fracture is well healed after 1 year of plate fixation, the plate can be removed. The removal of the plate usually requires hospitalization, which usually lasts about 2 weeks. During this period, it is necessary to change the medication every day, apply anti-inflammatory drugs to prevent wound infection, and observe the wound for redness, swelling, and oozing. After 2 weeks of surgery, the incision will be basically healed without infection, and the sutures can be removed. After the stitches are removed, the patient can be discharged home to recuperate, and to avoid injuries or sprains at the site of surgery, because there is a possibility of secondary fractures at the nail holes, and 4-6 weeks of protection are needed.
