Dreams of bedwetting that turn out to be real bedwetting are caused by the fact that while sleeping, the brain is in an unconscious state and the urge to urinate manifests itself in the form of a dream. When sleeping, if the bladder is obviously full, it is possible to wake up because of this strong urge to urinate, prompting the person to get up and urinate. However, if the sleep is deeper, or if the brain of a small child is immature, the person may not wake up, but subconsciously react to the urge to urinate with a dream scenario. This is a normal physiological phenomenon that does not represent any disease and does not require special treatment. In fact, this similar situation is not uncommon. For example, those who have severe thirst while sleeping may dream that they are looking for water in the desert. If the environment in which they sleep is too hot and they are covered with too many blankets, the patient may dream that he or she is hot and undressed in hot weather.
