The symptoms of patients with varicocele vary widely among individuals. Some patients can be asymptomatic for a long period of time, and patients with more severe symptoms can also show frequent episodes. Many patients with varicose veins have relatively mild conditions and often have no obvious specific symptoms for a long time, and are mostly found to have varicose veins during physical examinations. However, long-term asymptomatic varicocele is easy to be ignored and not treated in time, which can easily damage male fertility. In severe cases, the symptoms may be recurrent or persistent. Typical symptoms include enlargement and swelling of the affected scrotum, intermittent or persistent pain and swelling, which may be aggravated by exertion or walking for a long time, and relieved after lying down and resting. It is recommended that patients with varicocele go to the hospital as soon as possible to determine the severity of the condition and get the appropriate treatment to avoid damaging the normal reproductive function.
