Is it effective to use Xiangsha Liu Jun Zi Pill and Gui Spleen Pill together?

Xiang Sha Liu Jun Zi Wan should be Xiang Sha Liu Jun Wan. If not for therapeutic needs, it is generally not recommended to use Xiangsha Liujunwan and Gui Spleen Pill together, as they have the same medication and overlapping efficacy. Xiangsha Liujun Pill contains ingredients such as Codonopsis, Fried Atractylodes, Poria, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Saxifrage, Mullein, and Prepared Semixia. It has the functions of benefiting qi and strengthening the spleen (regulating the qi of the spleen and stomach), and harmonizing the stomach. It is suitable for indigestion caused by spleen deficiency and qi stagnation, belching (hiccup), lack of food and drink, distension of the epigastrium (abdomen), and loose stools. Gui Spleen Pill contains Poria, Angelica Sinensis, Fried Atractylodes Macrocephalae, Roasted Astragalus, Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng, Longan Flesh, and Mullein. It is effective in benefiting qi, strengthening the spleen, nourishing blood and tranquilizing the mind (stabilizing the mind and soothing the emotions by nourishing the blood). It is mainly used for treating palpitation (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), insomnia, dizziness, shortness of breath, fatigue, and lack of appetite caused by deficiency of the heart and spleen (weakness of the heart and spleen). Both contain Poria, Codonopsis, Fried Atractylodes Macrocephalae, and Mullein, both of which have the effect of benefiting qi and strengthening the spleen, and if taken together may result in an overdose of the same medication, and therefore are not recommended to be taken together. The adverse effects of Xiangsha Liujun Pill are not clear, and it is contraindicated in pregnant women. Cases of digestive discomfort and skin rashes have been reported with Guisheng Pill, and the contraindications of the drug are not clear. The drug should be taken under the supervision of a doctor and should not be used on its own.
