Long-term side effects of taking eszopiclone include drowsiness, dizziness, and weakness.
Adverse effects of eszopiclone are generally minor, with a wide safety range, and death is rarely caused by overdose. However, common adverse effects are mainly drowsiness, dizziness, weakness and memory loss, and ataxia is occasionally seen with high doses.
Tolerance to eszopiclone can develop under prolonged application, requiring dose increases.
